Everybody should go protest on Saturday, the 14th

EVENT CANCELED
Friends, this morning we talked to Kevin Smokler and Maureen Ryan, and we all agreed that canceling tomorrow's planned event felt like the right thing to do. We support everyone who will be participating in the #NoKings protest, and we're proud to say that includes many of our customers. Let Saturday be a day of action, contemplation, and preparation. We'll come together sometime later this year to celebrate Kevin's wonderful new book!

📚🎥 🎉Saturday, June 14, 3-4 p.m. in Jarvis Square 🎉🎥📚
We're so excited to announce that writer, filmmaker, and "hustler of culture" Kevin Smokler is bringing his new book, BREAK THE FRAME: CONVERSATIONS WITH WOMEN FILMMAKERS, to Jarvis Square! He'll be joined by former Trib critic Maureen Ryan, author of BURN IT DOWN: POWER, COMPLICITY, AND A CALL FOR CHANGE IN HOLLYWOOD.
This sure-to-be-brilliant conversation will take place outdoors in the "Alfresco Area" on Jarvis between Greenview and the red line tracks. Books will be available at Jarvis Square Books, 1522 W. Jarvis, or can be preordered via Bookshop. Kevin and Maureen will do a signing after the event.
Tickets are free and not technically required, but it really helps us to have a rough headcount. Sign up here. See you there!
